What We Treat & Exclusion Criteria
Urgent Care at Taylor Grey
All our staff have emergency medical experience and are fully qualified to treat non-life-threatening urgent care and minor injuries.
We treat non-life threatening urgent care (including adults and children), for example:
Stitches/sutures and Lacerations (Cuts anywhere on the body, i.e finger caught on a knife. This also includes children.)
Fractures/breaks
Wound care
Minor burns
Foreign bodies (wood, metal etc.)
Eyes: Pain, watering eyes, blurred vision, foreign bodies such as small shards of wood/metalAnimal bites
Respiratory illnesses (Chest infection
ENT - Sore throats, ear aches, nose injuries
Dental (address pain & referral)
Stomach pain/gastrointestinal
Genito-urinary (UTI etc.)
Gynecology
Sexual Health
Rashes, mole checks
Ultrasound - Coming Soon (Sports injuries, pregnancy,
X-Ray
For Imaging: We have x-ray and ultrasound available (coming soon). If you require a CT or an MRI, this will be done externally on referral.
You should go to A&E if you are experiencing any:
Sudden onset severe chest pain (cold, clammy, sweaty)
Pins and needles in the left arm, radiating up to the jaw and back, chest pain with back pain
Difficulty in breathing
High fever over 40
Slurred speech
Feeling confused, drowsy and loss of consciousness
One sided paralysis/weakness
Ongoing headache that does not subside with over-the-counter medication
Photophobia, neck pain, non-blanching rash
Persistent diarrhea/Persistent vomiting for more than 48hrs
Pelvic fractures
Anyone over the age of 65 that has experienced a trauma
Pregnant ladies more than 16 weeks and bleeding
Coughing up a significant amount of blood (Haemoptysis)
Back pain with incontinence
Heavy nose bleeds
If you have been a victim of sexual assault/rape
Urinary retention
Anaphylaxis
Overdose
